DESPERATE, URGENT NEED IN HAITI!
You’ve heard on the news about the devastating earthquake in Haiti, a nation already crippled by the direst poverty. Now a monster quake has smashed buildings, hospitals, water plants, and all other infrastructure. The Haitian Red Cross estimates that there are at least 50,000 dead, and a half million or more injured, sick, and starving. Advancing Native Missions is combining with other Virginia agencies to rush practical aid to the Haitian people through native Haitian Christian ministries. Please help. We need your gifts by cash, check, or credit card for the costs. You can GIVE RIGHT HERE. Or, you can mail gifts to us: PO Box 5303 Charlottesville, VA 22905. Please indicate that your gift is for 095 NCI – Relief for Haiti. Thanks. But in addition to your financial help, we are partnering with other ministries to receive gifts of bedding, toiletries, basic first aid kits, and other items. However, we are only able to accept very specific items as donations. Please go to this link for a PDF file of requested items. If you would like to donate relief supplies, please keep the following things in mind: 1. We can only accept items from the list, and these must be new items. 2. These items must be delivered to our offices in Afton, Va. 3. We will be receiving items during these designated times: Monday-Friday from 12 Noon to 6:00 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 23 & 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 4. Saturday, Jan. 30 is the last day we will be receiving donated supplies. If you need more information, please call us at 540-456-7111. Most of all, PRAY for the dear suffering people of Haiti. Many thousands of them are precious brothers and sisters in Christ.
